Firvale Community Hub empowers groups and individuals to find their voice
and find leadership, to influence and inform a more inclusive society,
through targeted and deeply personalised education and confidence building based projects.
Not only that, we aim to help and support the local community in any way

Advice, Advocacy & information services:
We offer support and advice with the following:
Universal Credit, Council Tax Benefit, Carers Allowance, Personal Independence Payment, Disability Living Allowance, Attendance Allowance, Mandatory Reconsideration, Appeals, Bereavement Benefit, Pension Credit, State Pension, Statutory Sick Pay, Sure Start Maternity Grant, Budgeting Loans, ESA, Income Support & Incapacity Benefit (old claims).
Immigration Services:
We provide immigration services, asylum and protection immigration including further leave to remain advice and applications. We offer indefinite leave to remain advice and applications. Nationality, EU law advice and application for entry clearance in accordance with immigration law.
ESOL and Employability:
We offer the following: a range of ESB accredited ESOL and
non-accredited ESOL courses, conversation groups and one to one ESOL learning.
Volunteer ESOL Tutor Training opportunities and classroom volunteering. BTEC Level 1 Courses, Kickstart Program, National Career CV Writing support. We also provide information and guidance to plan your learning or pathways into employment
Digital Media Centre (DMC) :
Firvale Community Hub (FCH) Digital Media Centre (DMC) works in a deprived area where many residents aren’t able to pay for digital media courses. We are able to educate people on what kind of free digital media resources are available and how to implement them to profit any business or art project. Those resources include social media, but FCH is also able to provide very practical training on application for use in office, in audit, bookkeeping, 3D CG imagery, print, multimedia and art.
Cohesion projects:
A number of projects have been designated to help communities to engage
with one another. We have created a structured multi-tier programme in
order to improve future outcomes of young people in the Page Hall and
surrounding area, including provision of a vital safe space to get young
people off the streets and reduce the risk of exploitation.
Health and Wellbeing Projects:
Firvale Community Hub has a fully equipped and functional Health and
Well-being Suite. It is available for members of the community on a pay
as you go basis. Health and Well-being projects include BME Older
Peoples Project – to help individuals 50+ with overcoming barriers,
addressing inequalities and help with accessing services, Community
Based Genetic Literacy and Support Programme -Community Based Genetic
Literacy and Support Programme in partnership with Sheffield City
Council and The University of Sheffield. We have new projects coming on
stream throughout the year so click below for more information.
Youth Projects:
Firvale Community Hub delivers a number of projects designed to engage and encourage young people to participate in activities that support them to develop confidence, skills and independence.

SHEFFIELD ROMA NETWORK
Sheffield Roma Network was developed in 2014 and established in 2015 to provide an effective voice for the Roma community throughout the city, led by the Roma community and for the Roma community to provide an effective steer for projects seeking to deliver services for this community with a network of interlinked services and people. Capacity building and instilling leadership for successful integration, Sheffield Roma Network is an Integral Part of Firvale Community Hub working to make heard ‘the voice’ of the Sheffield Roma Community by linking the Roma communities in their various places of residence across Sheffield and creating a conduit for the Roma community to engage in meaningful two way communication with the various city agencies and organisations.

Empowering Sheffield’s Youth with Youth Futures
Firvale Community Hub supported job seekers at the Sheffield Jobs Fair, offering advice, CV assistance, and 1-2-1 keyworker support.
